We are seeking an Accountant for our Supply and Trading Accounting office located in Cedar Springs, Georgia. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including monthly closing, preparation of monthly management reports, ad hoc analytical support of operations management and preparation and review of annual budgets. Overtime and some travel will be involved.
 

Education Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in Accounting
Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word document creation, formatting and editing etc. and Excel spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formulas creation etc.).

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Basic understanding of Cost Accounting and of a General Ledger.
Conceptual understanding of the design and purpose of internal controls.
Financial acumen to be utilized toward financial statement analysis. 
Excellent communication skills.
Proactive/self-driven work habits.
Basic self-awareness and an understanding of how personal behavior impacts others.

Responsibilities:
Inventory accounting primarily for raw materials.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure account balances are correct and adequately supported.
Assist in Federal/State tax reporting and Government surveys.
Improve customer focus by developing strong relationships with the procurement management to better understand and anticipate their business needs.
