Improve safety, increase quality and production, and reduce costs by providing robust, effective process controls throughout the mill. Provide technical expertise to maintain and improve control system performance for a process area.
Specific responsibilities include control loop performance analysis, control loop optimization, control system design, configuration, and documentation. The mill is primarily Emerson DeltaV with some Honeywell systems still in service.

EDUCATION, LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Other technical degrees may be acceptable, depending on skills, knowledge, and experience.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, industrial experience preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Solid computer programming skills and good oral, written, and mathematical skills required.
Experience and proficient in DCS System design and programming.
Experience and proficient in the application of industrial instrumentation to include transmitters, controllers, and final elements.
Ability to troubleshoot process control and instrumentation problems.
Ability to organize, engineer, and implement multiple assigned projects.
Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite
Familiarity with Modicon and Rockwell PLC systems is a plus.
