Dixie Consumer Products LLC, a division of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at the Parchment, MI facility. Responsibilities: - Instill and maintain a Quality Culture and manage the Quality Assurance system to ensure safe, accurate monitoring of process and product quality that will meet our customer expectations
- Maintain reporting documentation for Quality reports, facilitate quality meetings, review process data, maintain analytical software utilized in data collection
- Provide leadership for technical quality support
- Use process capability performance data, (Data metrics), to identity and communicate corrective action to reduce poor workmanship issues
- Lead the facility GMP, HACCP and Product safety programs (including Product Stewardship)
- Provide leadership in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, customer satisfaction, Quality effectiveness, cost management and asset utilization
- Provide on call quality assistance to 24/7 operations
- Develop personnel to make them safe and proficient in performing their job tasks
- Lead quality improvement trials and assist in cost reduction projects to add value while minimizing customer impact
- Applicant must have familiarity with ISO quality systems, SPC, and high volume manufacturing processes
- Applicant must have previously conducted and trained others in Root Cause Failure Analysis
Basic Qualifications: - At least 5 years of quality assurance and control experience in a converting or packaging operation and/or a bachelors degree in an Engineering, Science or Business related field.
- Root Cause Analysis experience as well as leading RCFA initiatives
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in an Engineering, Science or Business related field
- Familiarization with sanitation audits (i.e. AIB)
- Pulp and Paper knowledge
- Paper Converting knowledge
- Formal HACCP training (Hazard analysis critical control point)
- Experience with ISO Quality Systems
Knowledge Skills Abilities: - Demonstrate operational results with year-over-year improvement. Be recognized as the subject matter expert in quality
- Must have work experience showing leadership capabilities to move the organization forward with a balanced sense of urgency
- Ability to lead and participate in a safe working culture
- Proven written and communications skills including proficiency with proficiency in Word, excel, and MS office products
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach, confront, develop and manage people
