We are seeking a Manager of Analysis to join our group, at the Port Hudson Paper Mill in Zachary, LA.
Within our North American Consumer Products Division, this role is responsible for facility cost analysis, product benchmarking analysis, identification of value creation opportunities and ad-hoc requests.
While in this position you will obtain excellent knowledge of the key drivers of success in our business and will be provided the opportunity to learn from all levels of management in one of the largest private companies in America.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an understanding of economic thinking principles, strong financial analysis skills, capability with finance tools such as Excel and Access and proactive/self-driven work habits in a prior role. Experience within the manufacturing sector is preferred. Key qualities for success will include an inherent high level of integrity, and the effectiveness to communicate to internal customers within the framework of our operating culture. A Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Economics is a minimum requirement.
Responsibilities: Support Mill organization and Consumer Products Business by providing sound financial analysis Support inherent cost gap analysis and action plan development and execution Promote an environment of effective partnering with operating and business management to maximize value creation and enhance decision making Identify process improvement opportunities Decision support and analysis on investment proposals Provide financial input for the annual planning process
Education: Bachelor''s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Basic Qualification: At least 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data analysis/manipulation and formula creation, etc., Access-query and PowerPoint presentation creation/editing) is required Experience in a Corporate or Manufacturing accounting environment is preferred
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities: Experience with analysis, financial planning, and financial modeling preferred. Experience with marginal and incremental cost/profit analysis techniques preferred. Experience with financial analysis for capital spending programs preferred. Proven capabilities of strong economic thinking and manufacturing analysis needed. Knowledge of economic principles and marginal analysis Requires strong customer focus and sense of urgency Must be flexible and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Proactive/self-driven work habits with demonstrated ability to lead change and improve processes Clearly understand integrated financial systems (SAP or similar)
