Maintenance Supervisor Pulp Mill

This position will supervise Union mechanical craftspeople from multiple disciplines supporting the safety & reliability visions.

Responsibilities:

• Fully support the vision of a safe environment free of injuries
  Provide leadership and direction to maintenance crew around all company rules, policies and procedures
• Proactively support precision repairs performed by all direct reports
  
• Perform all administrative activities associated with hourly crew (time keeping, performance reviews, record keeping, correction action, etc)
  
• Work collaboratively with the operations group to deliver value in line with the mill reliability strategies
  
• Work to achieve excellence in all accepted metrics & best practices regarding reliability improvement. These included, but are not limited to Schedule & PM adherence, shutdown coordination & execution, root cause analysis, etc.
  
• Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting, problem solving activities and mechanical repair
  
• Communicate results to employees and management
  

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
  
• 5 or more years of work experience in Maintenance 
  
• Minimum of 3 yrs. supervisory experience
  

Knowledge/Skills:

• Safety minded
  
• Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies
  
• Understanding of maintenance best practices such as shutdown planning & execution. PM & inspection management & precision maintenance techniques
  
• Leadership abilities
  
• Strong computer skills
