Mechanical Maintenance Technician: Performs various duties in the Maintenance Department related to assembly, repairs, and fabrication of metal parts by operating mechanical equipment, using blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of millwright experience in an industrial setting Experience performing alignments on rotating equipment PREFERRED: 3+ millwright experience with experience in additional craft(s) (i.e. pipefitting, hydraulics, welding) Previous Maintenance experience in the Pulp & Paper industry Associates degree or two+ years of study at an accredited college in a technical field. Computer skills - Outlook- MS Office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs various duties in the maintenance department related to assembly, repairs and fabrication of metal parts by operating mechanical equipment, using blueprints and designs sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units. Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions and in noisy industrial environment Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping) Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, perform JSA''s and safety awareness Willingness to work in a tobacco free environment Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement as condition of employment
