Georgia-Pacific Wood Products, LLC is seeking an
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL REPAIRMAN
in our Prosperity, SC Plywood facility!
Candidates must be able to work any shift, variable start times, including overtime, weekends, and holidays (as scheduled).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Ability to obtain a mobile equipment license and operate mobile equipment
- Must have strong reading and math skills
- Must be able to service machinery at various heights
- Candidate must supply personal hand tools
- Must be able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment
- Must be willing to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances
- Must be willing to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for an extended period of time (lifting, walking, climbing, twisting, stooping) with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing to adhere to safety rules and regulations
- Must be willing to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, safety shoes, etc.
- Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement as condition of employment
- Candidates must be able to work any shift, variable start times, including overtime, weekends, and holidays (as scheduled).
- Must be willing to consent to a back ground check and be able to pass a drug test and remain drug free
- Must be willing to work in a tobacco free environment
PREFERRED:
- Associate degree in Industrial Electricity/Electronics
- Advanced computer and PLC skills
- Ability to install industrial electrical equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot and replace control devices
- Basic Computer and PLC skills
- Knowledgeable of 480 volt 3 phase motor circuits
- Ability to install conduit and wiring
- Knowledgeable of Electrical test equipment to measure voltage, current and resistance
- 1-2 years of industrial / manufacturing experience
- Basic knowledge of Elector/Hydraulic equipment
- Basic knowledge of HVAC
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Help drive Prosperitys safety culture to a higher level.
- Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain electrical equipment for improved reliability and runtime.
- Proactive in reducing production waste and achieve product quality goals through quality maintenance program.
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Complete work orders and turn in daily

- Must be able to communicate efficiently both oral and written
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be self-motivated and have a strong sense of urgency.
