The millwide shift leader will provide leadership and direction for shift maintenance, facilitate operating issues mill wide on back shifts/weekends and lead the millwide shift handoff meetings.  Expected to lead shift maintenance crew and facilitate millwide efforts to safely achieve performance goals and drive value creation and serve as shift operational maintenance gate keeper.

• Provide direction and support for area production leaders on backshifts/weekends.
• Manage and develop weekly schedules for shift general mechanics from planned work provided.
• Investigate injuries and ensure an incident report is completed and follow up with injured employees to make sure the care they receive is the best it can be.
• Perform the role of shift OMG (Operations Maintenance Gatekeeper).
• Process time for shift, Kronos versus Passport, and enable shift to enter work order comments.
• Conduct call in list to fill any personnel gaps and to fill any additional maintenance needs.
• Fill vacations and one day vacancies of other Mill Wide Shift Managers to ensure there is always coverage leadership on shift.
• Change staffing needs as needed during shift challenge whether filling the job is required, some jobs can be left vacant reducing over-time costs.
• Provide corrective action for employees not meeting performance and safety expectations.
• Purchase orders for contractors.
• Conduct millwide shift handoff meeting.
• Manage shift maintenance resources and work orders in the shift planning center giving priorities to Safety Work Orders and PMs. 

• Required 5 years of industrial experience
• 5 years of maintenance experience preferred
• Pulp and paper maintenance preferred
• Industrial technology degree preferred
• Maintenance supervisory experience preferred
• Familiar with typical maintenance work flow systems.
