BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must have at least one of the following:

Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of full time experience as a journeyman Boiler Mechanic or Millwright in the pulp and paper industry or similar industry.

OR

Must have a technical degree or educational equivalent as a Boiler Mechanic or Millwright and/or training with a minimum of five (5) years experience as a journeyman as a Boiler Mechanic Millwright in the pulp and paper industry or similar industrial environment.

OR

Must have successfully completed an approved Boiler Mechanic or Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent with at least four (4) years experience as a journeyman Boiler Mechanic or Millwright in the pulp and paper industry or similar industrial environment.

• All applicants must certify in the 6G welding position.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as handle fractions, decimals, exponents and algebraic equations.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, and stopping)
• Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, 6 top leather steel toe boots, etc.)
• Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work in a tobacco free environment.
• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment. 
• Preference will be given to those with the highest levels of experience and skill.
