We currently have openings at our Milan, MI facility for experienced Maintenance Technicians. This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes. In addition to the skills outlined below, successful candidates must be able to work on ANY shift (with occasional variable starting times) including nights, overtime, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and holidays (as scheduled). Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include: Responsibilities - Ability to troubleshoot and repair electric/electronic equipment, as well as hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Record maintenance and repair activities in a computer-based system
- Actively participate in PM program
- Utilize skills to improve equipment reliability
- Adhere to all plant environmental, health and safety guidelines, policies and practices
Education o High School Diploma or equivalent required Basic qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years experience as an Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Mechanic (electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment)
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and instrument control systems and maintenance support equipment, i.e., motor controls, relay logic, PLCs, AC/DC drives, low voltage switchgears, etc.
- Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- All Maintenance Technicians must possess their own tools
Preferred qualifications: - 2 year technical degree in maintenance mechanics or related field
- 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance mechanic including troubleshooting experience
- Previous experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system
- Previous experience operating a motorized forklift and/or clamp truck
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing corrugated manufacturing equipment
