We are seeking a fully-trained Mobile Equipment Mechanic for our Crossett, Ark. Paper Operation.  Our full-time Mechanics service a wide variety of equipment including, but not limited to, powered industrial trucks, automobiles and heavy equipment.
 
Minimum Basic Requirements 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have at least 3 years of documented full-time work experience to include large equipment as a 1st class Journeyman Auto Mechanic.
  • Must have one (1) year technical school or equivalent continuing training.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as handle fractions, decimals, exponents and algebraic equations.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, express, and apply technical data; also, be able to put same on paper in a logical and understandable manner with correct and adequate content subject matter, as well as to express orally.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to work from heights, in confined spaces and in hot/humid conditions.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, and stopping)
  • Must be able to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, 6 top leather steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
  • Willingness to work in a tobacco free environment.
  • Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.
Preference will be given to those with the highest levels of experience and skill.
 
General Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of rigging use of chain falls and cable slings.
  • Must be able to inspect, locate, and diagnose mobile equipment defects.
  • Must be able to determine extent of and execute necessary repairs including but not limited to overhauls and repairs of transmissions, differentials, air brakes, hydraulic systems, clutches, engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, etc.
  • Must be able to replace and or repair faulty parts including wheel bearings, solid filled tires, oil seals, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hoses, exhaust systems, steering mechanisms, belts, lights, switches, etc.
  • Must be able to order parts and assist in maintaining inventory of prerequisite spare parts and supplies.
  • Must be able to weld and fabricate parts and equipment.
  • Must have basic skills with modern office equipment and computer software.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and methods of preventive maintenance.
  • Must be able to read and interpret shop and repair manuals.
  • Must be able to estimate time and materials for repair jobs.
