Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Fine Paper Reliability Technical Assistant for employment at the Port Hudson facility in Zachary, LA.
Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and insure adherence to quality assurance system for precision maintenance activities in Fine Paper area. All rotating equipment will be covered including all machine rolls, motors, pumps, and agitators. Insure all results are documented as needed. Train and develop precision and preventative maintenance capabilities of hourly workforce Assist in root cause analysis for mechanical failures in the Fine Paper area. Drive follow-ups from analysis to completion. Review and update preventative and precision maintenance procedures to improve effectiveness. Work with area operations and maintenance leadership to improve asset maintenance strategy. Support maintenance planning and develop salaried staff precision maintenance skills Supervise roll rebuild shop maintenance mechanic
Basic Requirements: 5 Years of maintenance experience or comparable Industry experience of 3 years or more Familiarity with reliability systems Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to pass a drug test and remain drug free. Must be able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment. Must be willing to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances. Must be willing to adhere to safety rules and regulations. Must be willing to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, bump camps, hearing protection, safety shoes, etc. Must be willing to work in high and/or confined spaces.
