Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for a talented Chipmill Superintendent at its Brookhaven, Mississippi Chipmill facility. Responsibilities: The Chipmill Superintendent is responsible for the overall operation of Brookhaven Chipmill and will provide leadership to achieve a high level of performance in the area of; environmental compliance, safety performance, drive continuous improvement in production and reliability, manage operating costs and mill maintenance. In addition, the Chipmill Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring Brookhaven Chipmill meets expectations in the areas of reliability, production, chip yield, chip quality and facility financial performance. The successful candidate will provide assurance that the Brookhaven Chipmill complies with all applicable company policies, local, state and federal laws and maintain a businesslike working relationship will the wood procurement, accounting and HR functions. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or Wood Products. At least 5 years of experience in a wood products manufacturing environment where chipper and screens were part of the process. Possess experience in Process Improvement. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Possesses a desire to lead operations to safety excellence. Experience in people leadership and talent development to optimize performance. Experience with strong strategic planning and organization skills. Able to work with equipment experts to learn and transfer knowledge into operations.
