Description

Responsibilities:
- Position will be responsible to ensure safety compliance, manufacturing excellence, and customer focus for the individuals team in the Utilities area.
- Areas of focus are safety, quality, reliability, training, production, cost, and housekeeping.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions and acts. Recognize positive safety performance as well as individual and team contributions to a safer workplace.
- Lead operational and shift maintenance initiatives to achieve maximum asset capability for speed, uptime, and reliability.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints and issues; hold employees accountable in a fair and consistent manner; communicate issues and results on a daily basis.
- Be a positive change agent for developing an MBM-based culture.
Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required
o Advanced degree is preferred

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment is required with converting manufacturing preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Alternate Qualifications: (Preferred)
- Engineering degreed candidate looking for an opportunity to learn and develop leadership and managerial skills for long term career growth.
- Knowledge of pulp and paper industry, specifically functional knowledge of fine paper production or converting is a plus.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Self motivated, self directed person with a strong desire to excel at leadership. Reasonable interpersonal skills are needed; ability to motivate teams to meet or exceed expectations at all times.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.
