The West Monroe, LA facility has an immediate opening for an Electrician that is multi-crafted.

Basic Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Achievement of a passing score on electrical and mechanical assessments
• Minimum of 1 year as an industrial electrician, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Minimum of 1 year of electrical troubleshooting experience ( ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems and maintenance support equipment, i.e., motor controls, relay logic, AC/DC drives, low voltage switch gears
• Demonstrated ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
• Working knowledge of preventative, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance practices
• Must be familiar with industry codes and standards (ex. NEC, UL, NFPLA 79)
• Working knowledge of complete range of system controls including power/ motor circuitry, relay logic, Allen Bradley PLC hardware, PLC Programming and pneumatics
• Experience trouble-shooting and correcting PLC/Controls issues
• Multi-craft experience
• Willingness and ability to lift 35 lbs. routinely and stand for extended periods of time in addition to bending twisting and stretching
• Willingness and ability to work any shift, with variable starting times, including overtime, weekends, and holidays (as Scheduled)
• Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, leather six inch lace-up steel toed boots, maintenance uniforms, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to work in a drug and tobacco free work environment
• Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen

You will also have the following key responsibilities:

• Perform electrical /mechanical maintenance tasks as assigned to keep up with maintenance department workload
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance work orders as assigned
• Properly document activities as to actual work done, parts used, etc. in MP2 (CMS)
• Assist in improving PM procedures by participating in procedure audits and reviews, recommending PM changes based on personal observations, etc.
• Ensure all electrical and mechanical work meets established codes and G-P standards
• Participate in electrical code compliance and safety inspections as required
• Continually monitor plant and equipment for electrical code compliance and safety; document and report any discrepancies for correction
• Ensure any documentation and drawings used are returned to the designated storage location
• Perform duties to support facilities maintenance as assigned
• Keep shop and work area clean
• Other duties as assigned
