ELECTRICIAL TECHNICIAN - Newington, NH

This position relies on experience, jugment and training to plan, layout, install, repair and maintain complex electrical controls and machinery in a fast- paced, state- of-the art wallboard manufacturing facility. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to prioritize, work under pressure and function in a self-managed work team environment with limited supervision. Must also possess the following skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic and ability to diagnose electrical problems with the aid of PLC programming software.
• Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems, specifically Intellution I-FIX
• Knowledge and maintenance of industrial motor control, squirrel catch motors, variable speed drives, pulse generators and ability to diagnose problems with such equipment
• Able to read, interpret and work from drawings, codes, specifications, operational and maintenance manuals, work orders and safety rules.
• Maintain motor control centers power distribution and switchgear, electrical and electronic circuitry, overload protection, wiring complex circuits
• Measure, cut and bend conduit. Pull, terminate and connect wires. Build control panels
• Respond to, troubleshoot and diagnose emergencies or breakdowns with production equipment
• Ability to use electrical test tools, power tools, multimeters, measuring devices, bench equipment and shop machines to perform the work
• Strong computer skills required, especially experience with Ethernet and Microsoft Windows and Office. Database experience a plus
• Ability to write routine reports and exhibit good communication skills
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision while remaining team oriented
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs in a safe manner and request assistance when warranted
• Must have range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs and ladders, walking, standing, stooping and crouching for extended periods of time while performing duties.
• Share on-call duties with other Electricians for night and weekend coverage

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent and apprenticeship or two-year technical school with electrical systems as course of study or Master or Journeyman Electrical license
• Leadership abilities
• Pride and dedication to profession and quality of workmanship
• 3 to 5 years industrial experience and a desire to grow
