Naheola is one of Georgia-Pacifics largest integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facilities located in Pennington, AL. Process Control Engineer

Job Duties:

• Responsible in providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control projects within the Chemical/Kiln areas including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC`s), as well as custom control applications running in a MS environment which are used to meet manufacturing needs and production goals.
• Communicates and works with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment while being self-motivated and accomplish individual goals.
• Ability to communicate in both written and oral form.
• Must have skills necessary to perform project scope definitions and manage a wide variety of technical projects.
• Must be willing to be on-call to support production needs.

• Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on process control.
• Minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience with control hardware, software, and networking
• Experience reading and interpreting P&ID`s, loopsheets, and electrical drawings
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems
• PLC programming experience, as well as troubleshooting
• Required to be available to work overtime and to be on-call.

• Experience with Honeywell DCS`s
• Chemical Processing Experience
• Program / Project Management Experience

• Project Management, communications, problem solving, sense of urgency, customer focus, and team work.
• Ability to evaluate processes and equipment operation
• Plan and manage process improvement projects
• Ability to learn new programming languages and to understand control loop tuning.
