Maintenance Technician - This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes.
Maintenance Technicians will be expected to possess and refine multiple skills in both Mechanical and Electrical crafts.

Key Responsibilities
The function of the Maintenance Technician is to safely and efficiently troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment in compliance with all plant codes, policies and procedures. This job requires the ability to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer`s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic components, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. The candidate will respond to all maintenance issues, both mechanical and electrical throughout the plant and perform other duties, as required.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Must have experience with conveyors, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication
Must have experience troubleshooting, repairing and working with electrical PLCs, A/C, D/D motors, drive controls and systems.
Must be able to read electrical and maintenance schematics / blueprints
Must have experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic systems using various tools and computers
Must possess own tools
Must be willing to work in high or confined spaces
Must be willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
Must be willing to work in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high volume environment
Must be willing to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, and stooping) with or without accommodation
Must be willing to maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance mechanic
Current certification or technical degree in electrical maintenance is an asset
Previous corrugated industry experience is a plus
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
