Technical Advisor, Paper Chemicals

• Provides routine technical assistance in support of field service activity
• Collaborates with field and research and development personnel to develop and implement differentiated service programs to complement product sales
• Proactively identifies business opportunities and execution strategies through the profitable deployment of customer process audits and process understanding
• Provides application knowledge as required for product development and scale-up efforts
• Integrates lab and field test results in a way that supports commercialization strategies and the development of general recommendations for product use
• Develops training programs and materials that allow successful technology transfer to field and customer personnel
• Engages with inside and outside resources to assure that the best knowledge is applied to profitably execute against business unit objectives

• Bachelors degree in a pulp and paper science or engineering related discipline
• 2 years of experience in a technical service or manufacturing (quality, production management, engineering) role
• Ability to travel 75-85% of the time

• B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Pulp & Paper Science or related field
• 5+ years developing and implementing technical service programs for the pulp and paper industry
• Background in continuous improvement or statistical analysis procedures is a plus
