Responsibilities involve partnering with our internal IT teams, our external IT service providers, and our business counterparts to support day-to-day operations and execute projects. It will require assuming a proactive role in improving plant IT infrastructure and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and its criticality to manufacturing process control and production uptime.
Responsibilities: Drive implementation of manufacturing IT infrastructure projects, standards, and best practices through virtual project teams and facility resources Provide vetting service to ensure alignment between business needs, ETS/Vendor design, and IT standards Work closely with plant resources to support business strategies Ensure customer alignment with deliverables Develop and maintain relationships between key business users and IT personnel Leverage business and IT knowledge to create and/or select high value business solutions and align IT capabilities to best support these solutions Provide business customer and vendor communications Document IT infrastructure and architectural designs Provide escalation and operational support Occasional travel to participate in field work at manufacturing plants May involve after hours and/or weekend work
Knowledge Skills Ability Ability to work independently and as a team member on projects Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment managing multiple projects Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts (networks, routers, switches, servers, etc.) and basic IT architecture understanding Technical aptitude ability to understand the environment and the language, in order to challenge design and drive initiatives to completion Ability to vet alignment between a request and a proposed solution from ETS or other vendor Solid understanding of the manufacturing environment Mid-level Project Management skills, including project timelines, estimating, financials, and status reporting Task and project prioritization Virtual team leadership, including holding people responsible for completing their tasks and being accountable for overall effort Ability to anticipate second and third order affects and/or collateral impact Strong problem solving skills Strong analytical, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management Clear/concise written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing IT role Willing to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher
