RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidates will begin in general utility positions for our manufacturing areas, and will serve to fill available departmental operator vacancies. They will perform various manual tasks, and learn multiple operator functions within the mill. They will be expected to perform some basic operator care duties, and perform minor maintenance tasks such as lubrication duties. Promotional opportunities generally lead to production assignments. Candidates must be able and willing to work rotating 12 hour shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime, as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have experience in a flow-to-work environment
- Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
- Willingness to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping)
- Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, face shield, respirator, chemical suit, ear plugs, hard hat, top leather steel toe boots, etc.)
- Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, create documents, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 year technical degree or six months of manufacturing experience
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
