NAHEOLA CONSUMER PRODUCTS

Naheola is one of Georgia-Pacifics largest integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facilities located in Pennington, AL. Our employees find work/life balance in the five county areas around the mill of Choctaw, Marengo, Clarke, and Washington Alabama and Lauderdale County Mississippi, home of historic Meridian. These areas offer world-class hunting, freshwater fishing, boating, and water skiing not to mention the opportunity for those weekend getaways at the white-sand beaches of the beautiful Gulf Coast, a few hours drive to the south. Leveraging state of the art technology, the mill offers progressive leadership and a brings diverse mix of products to market which are: Quilted Northern, Angel Soft, numerous private label brands of bath tissue and paper towels, and manufactures paperboard for Dixie food and beverage containers. The facility is committed to continuous improvement through employee innovation, safety, product quality, capital investments, and superior environmental performance. Currently, Naheola is considering qualified professionals for the role of:

Manufacturing Engineer - Pulp Mill

Responsibilities:
Drive implementation and daily execution of MBM Guiding Principles and behave, and encourage coworkers to behave, in ways that are consistent with MBM concepts.
Provide technical expertise and transfer knowledge to Operators, Asset Availability Leader (AAL), Performance Coaches, Capability Leader, Skills Developer and Reliability Team in order to improve efficiency.
Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, quality capability, productivity and strategic capital planning and execution.
Lead the effort to identify, investigate, recommend and implement equipment improvements, new systems and process changes that will increase productivity, yield, quality, and/or reduce costs.
Facilitate the development of an asset utilization and capital improvement strategy for the area.
Create an environment of excellence where the team achieves zero incidents in Environmental, Health, and Safety performance metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with 2+ yrs. experience in a process safety management work environment; chemical related industry experience strongly preferred.
Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel, functional databases and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
Root Cause Analysis techniques experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience in a manufacturing environment
