Description

General Laborer is the entry level position into the Albion, MI plant
The person selected for this position will safely operate machinery to produce corrugated sheets for the container industry. General Laborers are responsible for setting up orders on machines, performing preventative maintenance on the machines, conducting required quality checks, completing the appropriate paperwork and maintaining the housekeeping of their work area. Additionally, the laborer must be flexible and able to change their day to day responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime, holidays and weekends, as needed
- Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Must be willing to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing and stooping) with or without accommodation
- Must be able to work in a cold, humid, hot, and noisy manufacturing environment
- Must be able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules, regulations and standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of previous manufacturing or industrial experience
- Previous corrugated industry experience
