Hourly Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Electrician-Corrigan, Texas Plywood Mill

General Tasks / Responsibilities:

The Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Electrician reports directly to the Plant Electrical Maintenance Superintendent and will support the plant electrical function for a Plywood manufacturing facility in Corrigan, Texas. The incumbent will:

o Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in safety program.

o Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.

o Install, repair and maintain equipment in a Plywood Manufacturing Plant

o Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities

o Calibrating process instruments

o Planning, prioritizing and scheduling instrument and electrical maintenance with supervision and operations input.

o Diagnose and correct process control hardware

o Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime.

o Perform periodic maintenance routines to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.

o Work with operations associates to identify and prioritize electrical maintenance needs.

o Maintains operations electrical and process control equipment to achieve optimal performance levels

Contacts/interfaces:

Internal (site): Interacts with key operations personnel such as the Maintenance Manager, Electrical Superintendent, Plant Manager, Staff Management, (Operations and Maintenance), Human Resources Manager, Safety Manager, Environmental Manager, Quality Manager, maintenance personnel and employees at all levels of the site organization.

Basic Qualifications:

o Must be at least 18 years of age

o Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.

o Must have 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

o Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with Installation, calibration, fabrication and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

o Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with 480 volt motors and controls.

o Must have a minimum of 1 year PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

o Able and willing to work safely, and promote and enforce safe work practices

o Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel toed shoes etc.)

Preferred:

o Completion of at least a two year course in Industrial Electrical principles.

o Advanced computer skills

o Advanced PLC skills, able to program and maintain

o Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits and control devices

o Capable of installing industrial electrical equipment

o Read and interpret electrical schematics.

o Capable of troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems

o Capable of troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits and components.
