We are seeking an Export Customer Service Representative in our Containerboard division. Georgia-Pacific is one of the largest producers of containerboard in the U.S. and one of the largest suppliers of containerboard to the independent box market. Our focus is on our customers - offering them quality products and superior service which are second to none in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively manage various export customer accounts through the supply chain from order placement to invoicing with an expected level of service.
  • Assist in resolving supply chain issues related to fulfilling customer orders, that may occur at production phase, shipping or warehouse storage point.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and communicate daily via phone and email with external and internal customers.
  • Schedule and monitor order production to ensure customer`s delivery requirements are met.
  • Interface with sales and across cross-functional teams in supply chain (operations, manufacturing, transportation) to collaborate, develop, and implement service and cost solutions.
  • Optimize and control inventory levels at port warehouses when applicable.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives and handle changing customer needs.
  • Work with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
  • Utilize excellent organizational skills to respond quickly to customer needs and follow-up in longer-term issues.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency and good decision-making skills in a changing environment.
  • Take initiative, interpret and analyze fundamental data while managing customer service needs.
  • Work in a team environment and own the process for optimum customer service and satisfaction.
  • Uses of problem solving and conflict resolution skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor`s Degree or higher OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service or Supply Chain
  • Microsoft Office experience to include Excel (create and modify spreadsheets using formulas and ability to manipulate data) and Word (create and modify documents)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service or Supply Chain experience

Preferred:

  • Customer Service experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to speak conversational Spanish
  • Experience with an order management system
  • Knowledge of export logistics terminology (Vessel bookings, LC, INCOTerms, metric system, freight forwarder)
