Job Description:
Responsible for the formation and delivery of promotional materials of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and the Cheyenne Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Perform design work, develop/distribute press releases, nurture media relationships, maintain fresh media library, work as committee PR liaison, and supervise external contractors to achieve the goals of the organizations.
Excellent writing, multi media design skills, creative abilities, media relations, people skills, and the ability to multi task are needed for the position. Must have any combination of training/experience equal to a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations or other closely related field plus 2 years experience working with PR/advertising. Work experience dealing with volunteer or public organizations and experience with web marketing campaigns a plus.
