Job Description:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide a variety of duties relating to restaurant-style service, including greeting and serving customers.
To complete cold and hot food preparation, stocking counters, and maintaining sanitation standards.
To encourage and promote a mutual client/associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of Goodwill Industries.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To check supplies in counter area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the work schedule.
- To maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the entire facility including all tables, floors, windows, kitchen area, kitchen utensils, kitchen trays, coolers, freezers, beverage station, and restrooms.
- To greet customers, take their orders, and use the cash register as assigned to record the order and compute the amount of bill which includes collecting payment and making change from each guest.
- To comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, company policies and procedures.
- To collect cash, checks, or charge payment from guest. To make change for cash transaction, verify identification for checks and prepare charge vouchers for credit card purchases.
- To complete cold and hot food preparation assignments neatly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
- To maintain proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing and serving food, and performing the clean up processes.
- To keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service as assigned.
- To maintain professional appearance at all times, clean and well groomed as per standards.
- To display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
- To demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and explain to customers accurately.
- To greet customers while answering the store phone and acquire telephone food service orders.
