Requisition Number: 12-0035 Title: Area Sales Manager Job Family: Sales Job Status: Full-Time Location: Sales City: San Francisco State: CA Schedule: M-F 8AM-4:30PM and as needed Compensation negotiable Description: Provide guidance and leadership to distributors and end users - Identify market potential, establishes market strategies, estimates potential sales, manages distribution channel issues, defines promotional activities, and manages mature and new product line introductions.
- Provides the primary source of supervisory contact both administratively and through field contact for assigned distributors to enable them to achieve the companys sales goals.
- Meet periodically with distributors to review goals and assist in resolving obstructive issues when necessary.
- Plan regular ride-withs and contact with distributor DSRs.
- Make the necessary sales calls to prospects and leads to achieve sale and new shop Right Start goals.
- Monitor, implement, and manage the Grandes policies and programs in accordance to Grandes Mission and Culture.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned programs to ensure accomplishment of financial/budgetary goals.
Administrative - Provide and complete all administrative duties within a professional format and within the period given.
- Monitor progress through sales portal reports, CRM and data warehousing.
- Guide Pizzeria Specialists where applies, recommend strategy adjustments, and assist if necessary in the implementation of these strategies to achieve the companys goals.
- Analyze market data, monitor product growth by distributor. Report overall market activities to Regional Manager.
Food Shows - Work with Regional Manager and Food Show Coordinator to plan and implement yearly distributor show schedule. Participate in national trade shows when necessary.
Requirements: - Bachelor`s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related sales experience and/or training with a food manufacture; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Living in the Northern California Area(Ideal location - San Francisco, CA)
- Strong decision making and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and CRMs (Customer Relationship Management systems).
- Ability to drive and travel long distances on a regular basis
