Description:
Support ingredient sales activities
Direct technical service for sales group and customers with proven applications of Grande ingredients.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for customer visits.
Develop and leverage existing knowledge to provide product formulations and prototypes specific to customer needs.
Provide technical recommendations regarding use of Grande ingredients in customer food products.
Troubleshoot application issues or problems for customers.
Supervise lab technician or others as required
Develop new applications and support new product development with applications.
Provide feedback to product development on product needs based on industry need.
Develop relevant model systems and determine performance of new products.
Provide insight for the development of potential new applications for use of existing Grande ingredients.
Develop relevant model systems and formulations to demonstrate performance in applications.
Lead the development of demonstrations, prototypes and sales support materials for promising new applications.
Drive strategy and technical positioning of qualitative and quantified value propositions for new products and applications.
Provide technical and logistics support for marketing activities
Lead the development of new novel ways to communicate key technology messages to customers to enhance understanding
Lead the planning and execution for the technical aspect of major marketing events such as IFT show.
Develop custom relevant technical input and design most appropriate way to communicate key technology messages in all sales and marketing materials.
Proactively participate in on CIG staff and establish applications strategies and action plans to support SLRP
All other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Assist in business development activities on new products or applications to drive initial customer acceptance
Manage ingredient sample program.

Requirements:
BS degree in food science or related field required. MS preferred.
10+ plus years experience in ingredient sales or technical sales support role in food product development and/or food technology, preferably with functional ingredient sales support experience.
