A large part of this commitment is called Person Directed Care. Any employee we ask to join our Community will be required to make the same commitment. Historically, nursing homes were built upon the medical model of care. This model emphasizes the diagnosis of and treatment of patients. It reinforces a system of care where nursing procedures and schedules are based on time and cost effectiveness. Person Directed Care emphasizes the individual resident. The resident is not a diagnosis but a person who comes to us with individual backgrounds, lifestyles, and routines that our goal is to maintain and foster. Person Directed Care is modifying our schedules and procedures to accommodate the resident’s schedule so that it may be as much like their routine at home as possible. Person Directed Care is about making the resident become the focus of everything we do.
A large part of Green Hill’s Person Directed Care philosophy is to enrich the lives of our residents and staff through creating bonds among each. Our employees are expected to be comfortable socializing and interacting with our residents of all abilities and limitations.
Green Hills Retirement Community is currently taking applications for part-time dietary aide positions in our Dining & Nutrition Services Department. No experience is necessary; we are willing to train the right person!
Dietary Aides assist cooks in providing the correct foods to residents in accordance with the residents’ individual dietary needs. Dietary Aides are also responsible for the sanitary handling of all food and non-food items, utilizing proper procedures for preparation, storage, care and cleaning of equipment, etc.
Green Hills has a fun, family like atmosphere, competitive wages and benefits, and flexible schedules! Hours available are from weekdays 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and weekends from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
