SUMMARY OF POSITION:
George’s, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hatchery Manager for its Cassville, Missouri Hatchery. The applicant must be experienced in . A positive can-do attitude is essential. A minimum of three (3) years Hatchery experience or related Live Production experience is required. 4 year degree in Animal Science, Poultry, or Business related field preferred or equivalent experience. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Also, the candidate must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

George's, Inc. is a fully integrated poultry operation headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas. It is a fourth generation family owned operation that began in the late 1920's. Guided by the aggressiveness of youth and the foresight that comes with experience, George's has grown from a small business serving local and regional markets into a multi-division corporation serving national and international markets with innovative, high quality poultry products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage all aspects of the hatchery and its operations.
2. Supervise all employees and be responsible for seeing that all duties of the hourly and salaried employees are completed.
3. Work with the division safety officer to insure that safety programs are being followed.
4. Make certain that animal welfare programs are being maintained and executed to insure the highest level of animal welfare.
5. Manage the hatchery maintenance program and insure that the facility and all equipment are kept in good repair.
6. Responsible for the hatchery budget.
7. Insure that hatch percentage and chick quality are maintained at the highest level.
8. Work with the breeder department and broiler department to coordinate egg pickups, egg inventories, and broiler placements.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of 3 years Hatchery experience or other related experience in Live Production.
2. 4-year degree in Animal Science, Poultry or Business related field degree preferred or equivalent experience.
3. Must have strong communication skills both written and oral. Needs to be able to communicate with persons at all levels within the company on a professional level.
4. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills necessary.
5. 1-3 years supervisory experience.
6. Computer literacy is required (Microsoft Office Package to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
7. Ability to work overtime, holidays, flexible hours, weekends and travel as necessary.
