Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to all ages requiring care for a variety of illnesses and injury. The scope involves the assessment analysis, nursing diagnosis, outcome, planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations in a variety of presentation. This practice also includes the delivery of compassionate care through education and competency.
Qualifications
- Currently registered nurse license in the State of Tennessee or compact state in good standing required
- Certification (current) in BLS required
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire required
- Prior experience in Emergency Department specialty
- Analytical skills necessary to care for patients, to implement effective nursing care, ability to problem-solve
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail and concentration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
