Position Summary
Position Summary / Job Description:
Supervise and provide leadership and direction to the Accounts Receivable Team which consists of a credit and collections team as well as a Support staff. The Credit and Collections team is made up of a team lead and 3 staff for collections. The Support Staff is made up of one team lead and a staff member for support.
Responsible for the overall performance, management, and evaluation of the team.
Development of strategy to improve efficiency of the Credit & Collections functions.
Development of strategy to improve the efficiency of the Support Staff
Coach, supervise, motivate and develop the associates, including establishing goals and objectives, performance reviews, weekly touch points, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems to handle any other employee related issue.
Administer and track performance of the associates through Key Performance Indicators.
Approve training requests and coordinate employee time off requests
Work with other departments within the company to improve cross functional processes.
Assist in the Development of Policies & Procedures and Internal Controls for detective, corrective, and preventive actions. Ensure adherence and compliance of established policies and procedures.
Assist on ensuring regulatory compliance with government rules and regulations.
Work closely with IT and COE to optimize system functionality and workflow tools.
Directly involved with main accounts where escalated by C&C Team lead to insure the progress of getting their payments in a timely manner.
Assist on reviews and updates Account Receivables procedures to ensure compliance, as needed.
Ensures adherence and compliance of established policies and procedures.
Assist on reviewing and transferring accounts attorney and/or Collection Agencies.
Call, monitor, and visit large volume corporate accounts as needed in order to intervene and resolve any problematic issues.
Required Skills:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial services environment.
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.
Microsoft Windows and Office experience required for Word and Excel.
Experience with SAP Accounting Software preferred.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Results orientated, flexible, resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.
Strong analytical skills and initiative.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time-management skills and ability to adhere to month-end close timelines.
Education Required:
BS in Accounting or related field; or equivalent years related work experience
