Structural Integrity

Position Summary
Perform and document durability and damage tolerance analysis to size structure under the guidance of a senior engineer. Use company and industry classical structural analysis methods to determine crack growth. Use FEMAP and NASTRAN finite element pre/post processors and solvers under the guidance of a senior engineer. Review drawings and specifications. Support manufacturing through deviation resolutions and cost savings changes. Write reports to show compliance with applicable structural regulations. Support in-service products through investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Analyze mission specific flight profiles to recommend tailored inspection programs. Coordinate with integrated design teams, manufacturing facilities, structural test facilities, regulatory agencies, and customers.

Required Skills:
Microsoft Office
Knowledge of basic structural analysis principles

Preferred Skills:
Finite Element analysis

Education Required:
B.S. Engineering or related discipline
