Responsibilities
Position Summary / Job Description:
Perform research, design, and development in avionics and avionics related systems and or electrical and electrical related systems. Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of both avionics and electrical systems and/or related equipment. Experience in talking design material from vendor installation manuals and creating: wiring diagrams, interface documents and wire routing harnesses for installation in various aircraft. Will be expected to take direction from more experienced engineers on a daily basis, but should be able to plan and execute work per those directions reasonably independently.

Required Skills:
The candidate must be self motivated and be able to make technical decisions with some guidance.
Strong drawing interpretation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with customers and suppliers, both internal and external.
Ability to work in a team environment.
PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Skills:
CATIA version 4 or 5 proficiency
AutoCAD or Helix computer (or similar computer system) proficiency.
Working knowledge of 14 CFR §§25 and 23.
Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Project, and PowerPoint

Education Required:
BS + 4 yrs minimum. May substitute 4 years pertinent experience for degree.

Preferred Education:
BSME or BSAE
BS degree plus 2 years directly related experience in a technical aviation field. Experience may be considered in place of a BS in engineering.

Other considerations:
CATIA V4 & V5 desired
