Position Summary
Position Summary:
These positions are part of the Certification department within Beechcraft that works directly with the FAA and foreign civil aviation authorities. These positions are key to obtaining regulatory approvals from the FAA and other regulatory agencies for changes to Beechcraft products. Success in these positions is measured by accuracy of work, timeliness of completion and overall impact to Beechcraft.

Success Measures:
The integrity demonstrated in conducting business on behalf of Beechcraft. How well the team member functions within the team. How well the team member shares information. How accurate and articulate the team member is in verbal and written communication.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure completeness and timeliness of company submissions to the FAA and various International Civil Aviation Authorities (ICAA’s);
Reviews (and assists with) the certification plans submitted by the project groups;
Reviews correspondence and documents sent to FAA and other airworthiness authorities for correctness and adherence to established regulations, policy, and advisory material;
Maintains current status of submittals to and from the FAA and other ICAA’s in areas of responsibility;
Responds to FAA or other airworthiness authority on requests for information and documentation;
Prepares correspondence and coordinates correspondence approval;
Coordinates with Quality Assurance in the export of aircraft;
Provides oversight, support, and coordination of international certification/validation of Part 23 & Part 25 programs;
Reviews Record of Compliance documents for completeness and accuracy;
Coordinates and facilitates certification of new and existing aircraft models in other countries;
Represents Beechcraft Certification Office at meetings with FAA or other airworthiness authorities;
Prepares comments on behalf of Beechcraft in response to proposed regulatory and advisory material;
Organizes meetings with engineering, FAA representatives, and international authorities;
Research and Interpretation of requirements for individual International Authorities is necessary, and;
Support management in the preparation of presentation material required for Management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Has understanding and application of certification requirements, processes and delegation;
Has understanding of certification regulations;
Able to review, accept or reject work submitted by other functions;
Assist in developing solutions to certification problems;
Can work with minimal direction from management;
Is a self-starter and will seek answers to question;
Is highly motivated and can stay motivated over the duration of long projects;
Able to mentor/coach others to improve certification processes;
Has some certification experience;
Able to reach out and coordinate across functional areas;
Comfortable consulting with leaders to ensure correct interpretation and alignment with project direction;
4 years + a BS in an appropriate discipline or 4 years appropriate experience in lieu of degree.

Other Considerations:
Must be able to obtain a passport. Some domestic and international travel may be required. Able to speak and write in other languages a plus.
