Position Summary
Develop and document a repeatable process to gather and analyze internal and supplier (make and buy) data for capacity analysis for predictive purposes in support of future Beechcraft needs. This capability should be efficient, and synchronized with other supply base evaluation and relationship efforts. It should also enable us to see and react to looming issues before they impact production.
This role is critical in connecting the various functions in the business, balancing supply and demand, constraint identification, proposing resolution options, and enabling a stable, reliable, and effective ERP system.
TOP THREE (3) PRIORITIES:
Develop an INTERNAL capacity analysis approach and begin pilot testing.
Develop an EXTERNAL capacity analysis approach and begin pilot testing.
Begin enterprise wide deployment.
SUCCESS MEASURES:
Progress to the plan. Because this is “plowing new ground” there are not readily available out of the box systems we can use or measure to. This capability has been identified as a key part of the overall Global Manufacturing Strategic Plan with a target deployment date of 6-30-14.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report out to Promise Deployment Process team. Partner with supply chain to build relationships with suppliers when developing capacity model. Work with value stream to identify root cause and mitigate potential capacity constraints.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SAP experience, project management experience, strategy development, facilitation of cross functional teams, relationship building, communication skills, presentation skills, Microsoft office suite, setting clear expectations.
BS (will consider experience in lieu of education)
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
Operations experience, industrial engineering experience, process mapping, continuous improvement. Continuous Improvement certification preferred.
