PRACTICE TYPE
Emergency Medicine – Opportunity is to join an LLC of 3 physicians only working in our ER: They occasionally see trauma— 50 and 75 cases per year. Will consider an FP that does not have boarding and residency in EM but has strong experience. Mostly Level 3 care in the ER. We would offer a $180K guarantee. The guarantee will be paid back by the end of the 12 month guarantee period. The position is paid based on collections and candidate will be part of this independent group that is not subsidized by the hospital. Collections will likely be in the high $275K range with the physician paying taxes, mal practice, and a 12% collections fee out of that. Shifts would be shared 1:4. Relocation Paid and possible sign on bonus. They did 750 admits a year of the 12,0000 ED visits. Typically work 1 dayshift, 1 nightshift, and then off two days. Mal Practice runs about $20-$25K a year.

ED volume is 13,000 and is staffed 24/7. OB deliveries are 400 annually. Excellent reimbursement. PPO-26%, Medicare – 23%, Blue Cross – 21%, Medicaid – 9%, Self-pay 9%, Commercial-5%, Workers Comp – 4% HMO-3%.
