Job Description:
The Clinical Dietitian-ADA works under the supervision of the Program Manager. Provides nutritionwellness education to clients on appropriate food selections and eating behaviors to accomplish goals. Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of nutrition education. Responsible for data collectioneporting. Collaborates with members of the health care team. Participates in performance improvement. Assesses, evaluates, and maintains professional development and competency. Develops and presents nutritional education for client groups; provides nutritional expertise for nutritional aspect of all Wellness Connections programs offer. Participates in all Wellness screenings health fairs. Works with a variety of age groups from youth to seniors.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Assesses client's nutritional history and eating pattern.

Assesses and documents client's learning needs, barriers to learning, preferred learning styles, and education level. Provides appropriate education materials and methods.

Conducts follow-up to monitor outpatient progress towards goals.

Schedules health education curriculum, accommodating client needs. Exhibits excellent customer-relations.

Demonstrates knowledge and expertise to client's.

Considers quality, service, and cost in delivering nutrition care.

Actively utilizes data collected for quality improvement to enhance client care and nutrition processes.

Demonstrates knowledge of age specific requirements when assessing nutrition histories and providing education.

Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating all Wellness Connections programs in accordance with established standards.

Conducts and gathers in-depth information utilizing the Health Risk Assessment results and other available data to implement effective employer based programs.

Supports marketing activities to promote the Wellness Connections Program and be a participant in promotional events.

Works collaboratively with the Program Manager to design, implement, and evaluate specific interventions / health education curricula (e.g., seminars, workshops, courses, self-help programs) that will lead to accomplishing goals established in the Health Improvement Program.

Participates in the organization, integration, and modification of the resources necessary to accomplish the goals in the Wellness Connections Program.

Gathers sufficient information from all relevant sources in order to determine the effectiveness of the Wellness Connections Program.

Participates in determining the program effectiveness in reaching desired outcomes and goals.

Proficient in Access database, analysis of data and report producing capacity.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Other duties as assigned.
