Job Description:
Works under the supervision of the TL-Home Services or Resource Nurse to support and assist in all facets of the Home Services clinical and pre-billing process and ensure smooth office operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.

TECHNICALCOMPETENCIES
Employee in this position perform the following technical competencies:
Accurately enters registration data into the Homework's and SDK computer databases, including updating patient and insurance information, and other required admission and re-certification information.
Understands and takes necessary precautions with data to insure data integrity, and assures compliance with all computer policies.
Problem solves any Homework's issues with staff, TS, and the vendor.
Accurately enters information to produce Interim orders and re-certification 485, 486, and 487's.
Responsible for printing all forms pertinent to the patient medical record and opening/closing the record.
Compiles and prints re-certification lists and other necessary data reports for licensure etc. on request.
Maintains tickler file to assure that all Physician orders are mailed and returned in compliant fashion. Contacts physician's per policy in regard to outstanding orders.
Provides support for OASIS and ORYX data collection as assigned.
Enters all Home Services charges into Hannah.
Answers incoming phone calls and triages calls to staff (may include paging field staff) when necessary.
Works with volunteers to assure timely filing of closed medical records.
Responsible for keeping filing current.
Understands, audits, and provides all necessary documentation to PFS in timely fashion to achieve compliant monthly billing.
Responds according to standards to all requests for Home Services Medical Records.
Enters ICD9 coding accurately.
Prepares and processes some outgoing mail and incoming PRN.
Checks out DC charts and records on front sheet all things missing. Reports to case managers.
Runs Billing charges and checks with chart all charges and supplies are covered.
DC after all done in SDK.
Copy all Medicaid and insurance charts for Billing.
Works with Resource Nurse to prepare and send all information in response to Medicare Additional Development requests.
Job Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School education required, computer knowledge necessary, experience with SDK, Hannah, Work, Excel, and flowcharting preferred.
LICENSURE: None
EXPERIENCE: Two years computer experience required. Home Health experienced preferred.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL/MOTOR SKILLS: Inputs information into computer.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to work with variety of professional staff required. Ability to communicate, teach and coach others.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stand, sit, turn, fine motor skills.
ESSENTIAL MENTAL ABILITIES: Manipulates data, interprets accuracy of data. Follows computer policy. Concentrates for long periods of time on information being put into the computer. Problem solves technical problems with hard ware and software.
ESSENTIAL SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Answers telephone, inputs data, communicates with staff and customers, send fax, runs copies.
