Business Development Manager

Job Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is primarily responsible for the targeted marketing and acquisition of new business clients in a designated territory including all services and for servicing existing clients of a multi-office engineering firm. The BDM also coordinates accurate and high quality services; maintains positive client relations; prepares proposals and assists other service groups. The BDM promotes a positive image of the firm within the community; and promotes the firm's policies, practices and philosophies.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field with a minimum of seven years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the engineering, architecture, construction or related industry. Works closely with the Director of Business Development and Government Relations to support the strategic business plan and responsible corporate citizen initiatives for HRG throughout the Mid Atlantic region. Manages the daily activities of the Business Development and Government Relations/Marketing group, collateral materials and works closely with Project Managers to advance the growth of HRG. Must be a self-motivated and possess excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, have the ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels of organizations and be a team player. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and CRM software is required. Experience with InDesign, Photoshop or other Business and Design graphic tools is a plus.
This position requires some travel to meetings, client offices, and regional offices. A valid driver's license is required. The BDM has the legal right to work in the U.S.
