Job Description:
The Civil Project Manager is responsible for the design and overall management of civil engineering projects for a specified regional office of a multi-office engineering firm. Responsibilities may include: Civil - design of stormwater management and drainage facilities; design of best management practices; design of roadway improvements; design of Erosion & Sedimentation control plans; experience with construction contracts and documents, contract administration, specification writing, bidding; field work or surveys; Municipal - municipal representation; municipal plan review; ordinance preparation; cost estimating; construction observation; Water Resources - culvert/bridge sizing; Hydrologic modeling utilizing HEC-HMS; Hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS & HY-8; preparation of Stormwater Management studies; preparation of Watershed Assessments; preparation of River Conservation Plans; preparation of Act 167 plans; preparation of Water Obstruction and Encroachment and Section 404 permit applications; preparation of NPDES MS4 permits; preparation of FEMA LOMA; preparation of grant applications; Project Management - presentations to clients/public, meeting facilitation; proposal preparation and budget/schedule management. The Civil Project Manager is a leader, responsible for participating in marketing and community activities to build relationships, promote the firm’s services, and secure new clients.
Position Qualifications:
The Civil Project Manager possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering licensure, and 5-plus years experience in civil, municipal and/or water resources engineering. The Civil Project Manager has working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and is a client-focused leader and team player possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills. This position requires travel to job sites, meetings, and regional offices. The Civil Project Manager has the legal right to work in the U.S.
