Catering Manager

Job Overview:
Responsible for all aspects of managing the Catering Department in accordance with Hotel standards. Coordinates details and menus for clients’ functions and maintains budgeted revenues through solicitation of business while controlling expenditures. Directs, implements and maintains a management philosophy which serves as a guide to Catering staff.
Job Description:
- Meet with clients, conduct properly tours, promote facilities and services, and engage clients in using our facilities for Catering social events.
- Develop menus and creative proposals, wire contracts and letters, organize all arrangements as they relate to events at the Hotel.
- Maximize revenue by selling the Hotel, both orally and written, to all clients, and have strong knowledge of F&B costs.
- To establish good business and social relationships within the industry and participate in activities related to public relations to further increase sales leads for the department as well as for the Hotel.
- Good communication skills and ability to inspire associates to achieve goals and advance careers
- Ability to build/sustain a team spirit and high moral
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work on your own – Good Computer Skills
- Must be flexible in work schedule
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work closely with Sales staff, Kitchen staff, Executive Chef while under pressure.
- 2-4 years of Catering Sales experience preferred.
