Job Description:

Operates cup filler machines to produce 4, and 6 oz packages of juice products, including operation of robot, taper, box code daters and CIPs.

Responsibility and Duties:

Sets up and operates equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and safe operating guidelines.

Assures proper raw materials are available to run production in accordance with production schedule.

Maintains a continuous supply of cups, lids and folded boxes need to run production and adequately assists in record keeping of material usage.

Monitors materials and production to ensure quality and compliance with product specifications.

Performs weight and vacuum checks on product.

Performs additional product quality testing measures as deemed appropriate by the Quality Assurance Department.

Completes associated production paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.

Documents any downtime affiliated with equipment or personnel deficiencies.

Operates picker to select product and place in cases.

Accurately records production, machine efficiency or inefficiencies and machine down time to assure that the production schedule is met.

Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Follows instructions and responds to management or lead direction.

Writes and speaks clearly and informatively and able to read and interpret written information.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and completes work in timely manner.

Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and reacts well under pressure.

Follows policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and complies with new policies implemented to ensure more efficient production.

Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions.

Uses equipment and materials properly.

Ensures that we are running machine at least to standard efficiency, if not get maintenance involved to solve problems.

Is consistently at work and on time and commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as production schedules, inventory reports, sales forecasts, safety rules, motor carrier regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, trends. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be capable of using hand held Warehouse Management System scanning devices.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however the employee may be required to enter production areas where the noise level is usually loud and hearing protection is required.

How CPF is Keeping Employees Safe
