ASSOCIATE MARKETING MANAGER

Job Description:

This position will be focused on the food service part of the business, but will assist as needed with retail marketing opportunities.

Responsibility and Duties:

Along with the Director of Marketing, this role will support the development of long range category operating plan that will include:

Support product development in the Commercial and Non-Commercial segments.

Use research and data where possible to identify new areas of growth within food service.

Product life cycle and sku rationalization.

Pricing strategy and P&L responsibility.

Execute promotional strategy for channel for existing and new product offering along with tracking the ROI.

Support continued development of company website and brand presence in the marketplace

Develop trade show strategy for foodservice channel and assist on retail show strategy and execution

Assist with the development, execution, and tracking of new product launches, ads, etc

Assist with social media posts and website updates

Manage product spec sheets and libraries

Continuously gather intelligence on product performance, competitors, distributors, and end user attitudes

Assist with other marketing communication tasks and special projects that may arise

Well organized, detail-oriented thinker.

Strong quantitative analytical and reporting skills (Must be able to understand and analyze various types of data.)

Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Special project oversight of CRM role out.

Be point person within food service channel for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (ongoing).

Oversee changes to CRM system fields, screens and workflows, and perform data administration (data integrity, data reconciliation, cleansing data for imports, etc.) as we role out tool to company.

Develop best-practices for CRM data entry/training manual.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred (or in process of obtaining). A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing and implementing Marketing policies, procedures and practices- preferably within a consumer products marketing environment. Food and Beverage industry with food service focus is a plus.

Language Skills:

Excellent communication skills in the English language are necessary to be able to perform this job. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Exceptional organization and project management skills. Strong writing, presentation and verbal communication skills. Strong commercial and financial acumen and demonstrated skill in leading strong cross-functional teams; experience managing agency partners.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to analyze data including sales reports, market information, etc. Basic math and algebra skills are necessary for this position.

Reasoning Ability:

The ability to analyze data and understand its meaning and how to use the information for projects.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient typing and computer skills including knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software (MS Excel), Word Processing software (MS Word) and Email software (Mircosoft365). It is also preferred that this individual has working knowledge of Mac Computers and software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a cubicle environment where noise can be interruptive.

How CPF is Keeping Employees Safe

  • Employees are continuously updated on the latest recommendations from the CDC and CPF complies with all federal and state guidelines.
  • Employee travel has been limited to essential travel only and access to the plants has been restricted to essential services only.
  • Employees will receive incentives which include: $50 bonus for receiving the vaccine, 2 additional PTO days and/or 2 hours off to get the vaccine during work hours, in addition to receiving 75% towards premium buydown for medical plans.
