SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the automotive technician by ensuring a smooth flow of parts to/from dismantling station, and keeping work station(s) clean. Assists in documenting activities and inventories in an efficient and professional manner. Developmental position to become an automotive technician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assist in the dismantling of vehicles in a safety conscious manner

2. Label and tag parts to be placed into stock

3. Check the quality and product type of the parts, test batteries if needed

4. Drain fluids and ensure their proper storage

5. Help perform cuts as needed

6. Fill out required paperwork

7. Breaks down tires

8. Assist Dismantler in keeping work are clean and free of hazards

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrate mechanical ability

Must have a basic understanding of the function of each part of a vehicle

Must be able to use hand tools and air tools

Must be able to lift at least 75lbs

Basic ability to read and write English
