Marketing & Proposal Specialist

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Global Marketing Director, the Marketing & Request for Proposal (RFP) Specialist, is someone who will work directly with the commercial sales team and other cross-functional leaders to produce the highest quality proposal materials in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position will enhance the efficiency of the sales effort to create a customized proposal that will result in increased revenue. Under the direction of the Global Marketing Director, the RFP & Marketing Specialist's responsibilities include the generation of persuasive and compliant proposal copy and management of existing and new proposal assets. This position's scope work also includes supporting US commercial campaigns and CRM digital marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in proposal management and digital marketing concepts. This person will have expertise working within cross-functional teams, albeit non-supervisory and can demonstrate experience in creating persuasive and compelling content that will clearly differentiate the Matrix brand from the competition.


  • Acts as project manager of proposal efforts, including: lead kick off meeting to define expectations, identify tasks and assign responsibilities, and develop production schedule; complete tasks and assigned responsibilities, and adhere to proposal schedule; draft/edit content; schedule reviews; final submittal production and delivery
  • Responsible for meeting RFP requirements, ensuring content is compliant, visually compelling and clear, and adheres to brand standards
  • Work with the creative team on the production of the RFPs and digital marketing assets
  • Maintain, create, and enhance processes for maintaining up-to-date RFP content, including creating new content
  • Monitor proposals to ensure compliance with existing contracts or related agreements
  • Analyze proposal results, i.e. reasons for won or lost, and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist with the execution and analysis of email marketing campaigns within Microsoft Dynamics
  • Create tools that help support our vertical sales teams, including sales kits or templates for channels of focus such as hospitality, athletics/performance, and/or medical
  • Maintain and frequently update Matrix PowerPoint library
  • Under the direction of the global marketing director for the commercial channel, assist with content marketing, channel marketing campaigns, and all other marketing support projects as assigned
  • Other projects as needed



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required


  • Two or more years of RFP writing experience
  • Experience building and nurturing internal and external relationships
  • Experience in executing marketing strategies and programs, including working within predefined brand standards
  • Experience working with databases or CRM platforms and executing marketing automation campaigns that touch multiple web, e-mail and CRM technologies
  • B2B marketing preferred
