Qualifications:
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
•7+ years experience in application and database system management, data warehousing management using business intelligence best practices, methodologies and BI analytical solutions. tools, and reporting and dashboard development.
•Experience using SQL, including complex stored procedures, functions and query optimization and various reporting tools.
•5+ years management experience
Preferred:
•3+ years in IT healthcare preferably in a large acute care hospital or regional system.
•Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Information Management or related field.
Job Description:
Manages the reporting team which is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions to meet the business user information needs and the strategic goals of the organization.
Essential Functions:
•Manages the operations including the data sourcing methodology, resource management, and performance monitoring for data acquisition, information delivery and customer service.
•Participates in development of strategic and tactical plans for the Information Management group.
•Coordinates team efforts, interacts with and supports both internal and external stakeholders.
•Assigns and manages all required project and work request tasks to be completed and level of quality with resources assigned.
•Publishes and maintains documentation related to supply and demand, including task lists, scope, task assignments, implementation schedules, individual tasks.
•Manages the reports request queue and oversees the report development process and improvements needed to meet evolving customer needs.
•Maintains a positive customer-centric environment;
•Identifies and prioritizes the business intelligence (BI) and analytics related opportunities and initiatives.
•Coordinates the BI related initiatives and support the related projects; manages the engineering of the enterprise BI platforms;
•Sets strategic direction for BI technology.
•Manages budget and adheres to approved budget and expenditures.
•Interviews, hires and trains new employees and evaluates staff competencies and performance.
•Assures staff compliance with IT and organization policies, procedures and standards.
•Provides mentoring to staff as a means to develop job satisfaction and coordinates cross-training opportunities (as appropriate).
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
