Job Description:
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in California. CNS degree is required in area of clinical specialty. Certification as a CNS by the Board of Registered Nursing required or eligible for certification which is to be obtained within 6 months of hire. Oncology clinical experience required, ONS certification preferred. Five years recent clinical experience in related area of clinical specialty and formal teaching experience. BLS certification is required prior to clinical orientation. The Advanced practice nurse will work with staff to coordinate the implementation of clinical and technological innovations. Guides and directs nursing staff to solve complex patient care problems by utilizing critical thinking skills to positively impact patient care and helps implement evidence based practice.
