Senior Software Developer
Job Location: Oshkosh, WI
Description:
Responsible for analysis, planning, design, programming, testing, implementation, documentation and maintenance of all midrange software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work with system users to understand problems or opportunities. Responsible for helping design solutions that support the goals of Hoffmaster Group Inc.
2. Create and maintain programs using all of the development tools deployed by Hoffmaster; including but not limited to RPG400, RPG4/ILE, CL, DDS, AS/Set, Jetforms, SQL, Sequel, TL Ashford, and Mark Magic. Code will be optimized, effective, and high quality.
3. Support all system i software used by Hoffmaster Group Inc.; including but not limited to Harris Data, BPCS, PKMS, and Stratum.
4. Primary technical resource for the Harris Data ERP system.
5. Ensure all code is thoroughly tested and signed off by users and developers prior to promoting to production environment.
6. Work with manager to design/maintain development standards. Will approve code for all developers, ensuring it meets Hoffmaster Group, Inc. development standards.
7. Mentors junior programmers to ensure projects are completed accurately, timely, and to specifications.
8. Document programs/processes when required.
9. Employ effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Take the lead role in Manager’s absence.
2. Work with a positive, customer focused attitude in a team environment.
3. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, on a technical and non-technical level.
4. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Prioritize and manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality results.*Will perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills):
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science from a four year college or seven years equivalent job experience.Must have experience in BPCS, HarrisData and/or PKMS.
